Post 2: This Week in Science (Frog Dissection)

This picture shows the hear of a frog behind its liver. I chose this picture because I wanted to shows how the frogs heart is behind its liver.



This picture shows how the inside of a frog looks without most of its organs. I chose this picture because I wanted to see if frogs have spines like us....which they do.



This picture shows the inside of a frogs stomach. I chose this picture because I wanted to see if there was any bugs in there.



This picture shows what a frogs mouth looks like. I chose this picture because I wanted to see how there tongue and see if they have any teeth.

This picture shows all of the frogs organs. I chose this pic to see if their organs look like ours.


On the first day of  this unit we opened the frogs mouth to see how it looks alike or diffrent that a human mouth. Then we started cutting open the skin to see the different types of organs. After seeing all the organs we began to carefully remove them one by one and identifyed what is what. After that since we had nothing to do we opened the stomach to see whats inside.

I learned a lot about frogs about frogs one of those things is how to identify whats the diffrence between a male and a female. for example like how the male frogs are smaller but have biger thumbs. I also learned how some of frogs organs look like ours like the liver and intestines. Also I learned that a frogs stomach is filled with liguid just like ours.
