This week in science created a energy pyramid about everyone one of animals since mine was the black panther I remembered what it eats then I found out what that eats and so on. Then we drawed the energy pyramid so show what eats what. Right next to it we drawed a food chain to make it more simple about what eats what. We also saw davids example with a penguin and a few other animals then we read the definition of what a food pyramid is. We also did a work sheet that asked what would we do if we stranded on a island with a cow and wheat.
This week in science I learned that a energy pyramid is a diagram that shows the amount of energy in each organism. We also learned about how a consumer is an organism that eats another organism for energy and how a producer is a organism that makes its own food for energy. We learned that there are Herbiroves a consumer that only eats a producer, a carnivore a consumer who only eats other consumer and a food chains which shows the transfer of energy from one organism to another. We learned that if your stranded on a island with a cow and wheat you eat the cow first then eat the wheat.
